About Koni
With 9 years of experience teaching piano, I have taught students ranging from young beginners to college learners and working professionals. My teaching philosophy emphasises individualised guidance, patience, and creativity, ensuring that each student feels confident and motivated to develop their skills. I have guided students in recitals, competitions, and graded exams, helping them achieve milestones and perform confidently.
Lessons cover technique, sight-reading, music theory, improvisation, and expressive performance, and I adapt every session to the student’s pace and interests. I aim to make piano learning a fulfilling journey that builds technical skill, creativity, and a lifelong passion for music.

My teaching style emphasises compassion, encouragement, and attentive support. I believe that learning is most effective when students feel motivated, understood, and confident. In piano lessons, I focus on developing technical skills, musical interpretation, rhythm, and creativity through a combination of structured exercises and meaningful, enjoyable pieces.
I encourage open communication by asking students to share their goals, reflect on their learning, and discuss challenges, creating a collaborative and interactive environment. Supportiveness is at the heart of my methodology—I guide students patiently through difficulties, celebrate milestones, and nurture their confidence.
This approach is also applied to other subjects I teach, including music theory, composition, and ear training. My ultimate aim is to create a safe, inspiring, and motivating environment where students can achieve their full potential while fostering a lifelong love for music and learning.
