About Amogh
I hold an MSc in Biotechnology from Nottingham Trent University and a BTech in Biotechnology. Biology has always been one of my main areas of interest, particularly molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology and regenerative medicine.
My academic and practical experience includes PCR/qPCR, microbiology, mammalian cell culture, microscopy, scientific literature and research methods. My MSc research also involved bone tissue engineering, which gave me experience connecting biological theory with real laboratory applications.
I enjoy explaining complex topics in a clear and approachable way and helping students understand the logic behind biology rather than simply memorising facts. I’m patient, friendly and happy to adapt lessons to different learning styles and levels.
Outside science, I’m also interested in music, singing and guitar, so I naturally bring a creative and relaxed approach to teaching.

My lessons are relaxed, clear and structured around the student’s individual needs. I focus on helping students understand the reasoning behind biological concepts rather than simply memorising facts.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes. We can work through difficult topics, revise for exams, practise questions, interpret biological data or strengthen understanding in areas such as molecular biology, microbiology, cell biology, genetics and biotechnology.
I usually begin by identifying the areas the student finds most difficult, explain the underlying concept in a simple way, and then work through examples together. Where useful, I also connect topics to real laboratory and research applications.
I can support students at GCSE, A-level, BTEC and undergraduate level, as well as adult learners studying biology or related life-science subjects.
For university students, I can also help with understanding scientific papers, research methods and academic concepts. I am happy to provide guidance and feedback on coursework, but I do not complete assessed work on a student’s behalf.
