About Lacey
I am a Chemistry tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MSc in Analytical Chemistry. My passion lies in the chemistry of natural products and biomolecules. I explore secondary metabolites, natural dyes, flavours, and biologically active compounds found in nature. I guide students in understanding the extraction and isolation of these molecules from living organisms. Structural elucidation techniques form a key part of my teaching, helping learners see how chemistry reveals nature’s secrets. I combine theory with practical examples to make complex concepts accessible and engaging. My approach encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on problem solving. Students gain confidence in analysing, interpreting, and connecting chemical data. I also focus on the broader applications of natural product chemistry in medicine, food, and industry.
