About Jagan Mohan

I am Jagan Mohan Mathangi, a passionate professional with a strong foundation in Python, data analysis, and financial technology. Currently, I am pursuing an MSc in Financial Technology at Nottingham University Business School, and I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the University of Delhi. My academic journey and professional experience have shaped my ability to apply Python to real-world scenarios, and I am excited to bring that knowledge into a Python tutor role.

Throughout my career, I have consistently used Python for various tasks such as data analysis, financial modeling, and automation. During my time at Acuity Knowledge Partners, I used Python along with libraries like NumPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib to perform quantitative analysis and create financial models. This work involved handling large datasets, developing comparables, and ensuring the accuracy of financial reports. My hands-on experience with Python in this context helped me enhance my technical skills and apply them to solve complex problems efficiently.

I’ve also had the opportunity to mentor and lead teams. As a team lead at Better Mortgage, I guided and trained analysts, helping them improve their skill sets—a role I found incredibly fulfilling and one that complements my desire to teach Python. My experience extends to data visualization using Matplotlib and Seaborn, and I am also proficient in SQL for database management, which further strengthens my ability to teach Python in a practical, industry-relevant manner.

I’m confident that my experience with Python, combined with my passion for teaching and mentorship, will allow me to effectively guide students and professionals in learning Python. I enjoy breaking down complex concepts into simple, understandable terms, and I am committed to helping learners develop the skills they need to succeed.
