About DILNA
I take this opportunity to express my interest to teach young students in the field of chemistry. I am a joint PhD student at the University of Birmingham in the project “Development of advanced spectroscopic acoustic Lab on a Chip for point of
care sensing of diseases”. I hold a Five-Year Integrated Master’s
degree in Chemistry with 9.10/10 CGPA from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Coimbatore, Tamil
Nadu, India. Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science were other major subjects along with
Chemistry during first two years of the course. After post graduation, I was also working as a Research Assistant at
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bhilai, Chhattisgarh in a SERB funded Research project titled
“Glucose responsive carbohydrate polymer- hybrid hydrogels for insulin drug delivery".

Science is a world of knowledge and power.As a high school student, I had a vague idea about the career options in pure science. But later on, I
realized that science doesn’t have boundaries, and all fields say it chemistry, biology, physics or
mathematics are interrelated. This helped in developing a career interest in the interdisciplinary
research which could reach directly to the society.
