About Jack
I am an MSc Advanced Materials Science Student at Imperial college London, covering topics spanning Maths, Chemistry and Physics and more.
Before coming to Imperial, I completed a BEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering with Industrial Experience at Queen Mary University of London. While there, I worked as a chemistry and Maths tutor for Tutor Doctor, teaching both A-level and GCSE students.
Aside from this, while at Queen Mary, I also created and ran a training programme for Coxswains so that they may safely and effectively steer boats, complete with lectures, practice activities and tests to confirm understanding. While teaching the programme, there was a 100% pass rate, and the resources I developed are still in use today.

All people are individuals, so there is no such thing as a universal approach. Typically, my sessions can be expected to include a lecture, a discussion of content and a set of questions. With that being said, the approach, content and any teaching aids used can be adapted as much as needed to suit the student.
I am an enthusiastic tutor, especially when talking about science and hope to bring that same energy to my lessons. Generally, more time will be spent towards discussing the material with the student (including example questions), as this can help target areas of misunderstanding and help find the learning approach they'd find most interesting - further tailoring the lesson to their interests.
