About Sarah
I am a recent MSc Neuroscience graduate from McGill University. I use MRI to study myelin plasticity in the brain! I am an aspiring professor, and find any opportunity I can to share my knowledge. I have been tutoring and teaching in many capacities since 2012 - both one-on-one, and to groups of up to 150 students. I am naturally patient, have strong attention to detail, and am able to approach problems from many angles. I am a Renaissance woman at heart - although I'm an expert in Science, Math, and Psychology, I'm also educated in English, Literature, and Philosophy. I am an adept instructor with a strong grasp of many subjects. I am simultaneously gentle and caring, firm and persistent, a disposition that makes me an effective tutor for many types of students. I have experience working with children and youth with special needs, and would be more than happy to discuss any support you may need.

My secret to success? Get to know yourself! What techniques work to keep you calm? When do you study best? What challenges do you face while learning? How do you stay motivated and positive when you're facing something tough? What are your signals that it's time to ask for help?
I have become a successful academic by developing the learning toolkit that I need to be my best, and by recognizing that I am always a work in progress. Along with reviewing course content, working through assignments, and preparing for tests and exams, I am committed to helping you discover (and stick to!) your own learning tools so you can build a successful future.
