About Janie
"Simple memorisation rarely wins games when your opponent understands deep strategy. Most people assume that tactical patterns are purely innate, but I have found that careful study builds these skills over time.
After 6 years of teaching 399 students, I have seen how middlegame planning and defensive technique create a durable foundation. Pattern recognition and blunder checking are central to my methodical approach for students of any level. I personally enjoy analysing games where a patient, long term plan overcomes an aggressive early attack."

"Planning begins with a study plan tracked week to week for every individual. Because I emphasise a competitive mindset and time management, our sessions focus on the quiet work of evaluating pawn structures. The 6.0 differentiator in my approach helps students move beyond reactive play by anticipating the opponent in advance.
Drawing from my academic background in mathematics, I explain the logic behind specific moves so you understand the underlying structure of your game. You will eventually reach the stage where your board vision allows you to execute precise plans with total confidence."
