About Edwin
Hello!
I am a Master's degree student at the University of Edinburgh in Synthetic Biology and Biotechnology coming from Mexico City and that only means I am very friendly.
I'm 26 years old, although some people say I look younger, that doesn't change the fact that I'm old enough to know a couple of things about life, so I consider I may be good coaching young persons in many aspects of life.
I am very passionate about science, specifically knowing how our body works, how we can be sustainable to avoid destroying our planet and about the universe and space exploration. I'm also a traveller, I feel natural and comfortable when I'm discovering a new place, not only cities but outdoors also. I used to be more of an artist when I was younger, however, I still play the guitar, love the photography and the cinema. I speak Spanish, Italian and English.
About my professional experience
I studied molecular biology, which means I have a strong background in hard sciences, after finishing my bachelor I spent a year doing research in breast cancer and then started working in the pharmaceutical industry for a couple of years as a scientific advisor in the marketing and consultancy areas.
How I can help

This last one is very important to me because while working in the pharmaceutical industry I realized that patients are not receiving the correct information about their diseases, making them to not be conscious enough and therefore, not taking enough self-care, which in some cases is related with disease worsening.
