About Divya
I am currently in my final year at University, studying an integrated Masters degree from UCL in Human Sciences and Evolution. I find biology and public health really interesting, and study a range of modules relevant to this - including statistics, genetics, infection, etc.
I enjoy teaching as I find it is a rewarding way to help others, and I find satisfaction in helping others succeed and reach their academic goals. With my firsthand experience navigating university, I understand the struggles and roadblocks that can arise. That's why I'm passionate about creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where you can feel comfortable asking questions and exploring different perspectives.

I have three years experience tutoring a range of students, from year 9-year 13. I am DBS checked, and have the following qualifications:
- GCSEs: 10 (all grade 9/A*)
- A levels: Biology (A*), Chemistry (A*), English Literature (A*), Religious Studies (A*)
As a student myself, I understand how variable everyone is in terms of learning, and find it important to be flexible and understanding to different approaches. Thus, I tailor lessons specifically to suit the student's needs.
I also recently completed my GCSEs and A-levels, so I am very familiar with the current curriculum and content that needs to be covered.
I typically do one hour lessons, structuring the lesson with learning first, and then applying the knowledge to exam questions, in order to teach both the content and exam technique -which is key to achieving higher grades.
