I've taught Creative Writing in the classroom for high school students (Freshmen-Seniors). I'm excited to offer this workshop-style masterclass to help students working on their creative fiction projects (whatever part of the writing process you're in!) to writers who want to take their works-in-progress to the next level. I offer the opportunity to grow and learn in a community of other writers working to get their stories out of their heads and into words.

Course setup
I love interactive, student-centered teaching. I believe educators should be flexible with their students--to adapt the lessons to meet the needs of the students--where they are today and where they want to be in the future. Lessons should be engaging, thought-provoking, and student-driven.
My lessons will formatted like workshops. Students will learn all about the writing process, to include feedback, revision, and rewriting. We'll have fun with world-building, discovering our characters, and developing exciting plots that will keep our interests!
I am a writer and educator! I've taught in the classroom for four years, teaching everything from AP US History to Women's History to Public Speaking to AP Literature. I have a Master of Science in Secondary Education (High School!) History and Social Sciences, and a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing - Fiction. I've studied under some amazing authors, to include Katherine Towler, Tracy O'Neil, Robin Wasserman, and Adam Wilson.
