About Tasjia
Tash Reddy: A Life of Purpose, Resilience, and Impact
Tash Reddy is a woman who has transformed her pain into purpose, shaping a life dedicated to advocacy, humanitarian efforts, and global impact. A trailblazer from a young age, she shattered the glass ceiling at just 22, becoming the producer of one of East Coast Radio’s most listened-to Drive Time Shows. Her media journey began even earlier, as she earned an honors degree in Film, Radio, Television, and Theatre Production, contributing to renowned projects and being mentored by industry legends such as the late Junaid Ahmed, Satish Dhupelia, and Kessie Govender. A gifted performer, she showcased her acting and dance talents both on stage and on screen, earning recognition for her versatility.
Her influence extended into journalism, where she became a fearless voice for the voiceless as a writer for Independent Newspapers. She was widely lauded for her courageous rescue of a four-month-old baby born to a South African drug smuggler in São Paulo Prison, solidifying her reputation as an advocate for justice. Her bold and often controversial columns on IOL further cemented her status as a powerful force in media.
Turning Tragedy into Triumph
At 29, Reddy faced unimaginable personal loss when she became a widow while pregnant with her second child and raising a toddler. Rather than breaking under the weight of grief, she channeled her pain into purpose, founding an organization to support widows worldwide, advocating for their equal rights, and ensuring they receive the support they deserve. Her intrinsic ability to connect people and businesses led her to act as a global liaison, facilitating collaborations that address societal challenges.
Her humanitarian work has earned her prestigious global roles, including:
Global Goodwill Ambassador for the UN-endorsed Hind Foundation
South African Ambassador for My Body is My Body
Global Ambassador for the Commonwealth Entrepreneur Club
Global Peace Ambassador for INSPAD
Representative for the Human Rights Commission, Amnesty International, and the Talk Love Foundation
A Fierce Advocate for Justice & Social Change

Reddy’s personal resilience is unmatched. After enduring seven miscarriages, she once again turned her pain into purpose by adopting seven children from war-torn and poverty-stricken countries, ensuring they receive an education and a better future.
Her own health battles have been staggering—31 surgeries following the collapse of her spine and hips, the development of a hernia, and tumors in her abdomen where she lost half her stomach, her gallbladder, half her oesophagusand half her colon. With much of her body rebuilt using titanium, she has earned the nickname “Bionic Woman.”
Her struggles led to the creation of the #IAM Foundation, a movement that supports individuals facing disability, abuse, terminal illness, and poverty.
A Legacy of Impact
A devoted single mother to Daniel (20) and Ysabella (11), Reddy’s life is a testament to resilience, strength, and unwavering dedication to creating a better world. She lives by the mantra:
"You only encounter an obstacle when you lose sight of your goal."
From breaking barriers in media to fighting for human rights, empowering women, and inspiring countless individuals across the world, Tash Reddy’s journey is one of profound courage, purpose, and transformation.
