About Amari
I'm a young and eager instructor, proficient skateboarder and roller skater, willing to work with people of all ages and of all learning experiences ( advanced to beginners, children, teens, and adults) in private and group settings.
I've been in the skate culture since 2005, exploring different regional styles from Chicago, New Jersey, and Baltimore to Atlanta building inspiration for growth, and becoming versed in different styles and techniques of roller skating. Most recently I've been associated with the SRD (Secret Roller Disco), The artistic Rollerskating community of my city.

I facilitate sessions where I meet students where they are in their learning process and skating journey. I encourage healthy learning habits also I believe consistency, repetition, and determination are key to success. It takes hard work to hone a skill but it can be done with practice and by setting up goals to challenge you and push you to the next level as a skater.
I have been exposed to and enjoy venturing into the different facets of rollerskating and its different origins and styles. I believe in being versatile and I enjoy exploring a multitude of styles. I immerse myself in artistic classes, rhythm classes and I always enjoy diving into new techniques to always better myself.
As a young Black rollerskater, I strive to educate and teach with authenticity what I have learned and keep learning from the original pioneers of a Black rollerskating era and culture that is more often than not left forgotten. To anyone who loves this art form, I would feel honored to elevate and educate whoever is willing to learn!.
