About Leyla
Hello, I’m Leyla, a Chemical Engineering student at IIUM (Gombak), with a foundation in science from Italy and over four years of tutoring experience. My path in education hasn’t been simple — I used to struggle with mathematics myself, to the point where I thought I’d never understand it. But I worked my way up, step by step, and eventually earned certificates in math and chemistry. That journey taught me what it really feels like to be weak in a subject, and it shaped my teaching philosophy: in my class, you are never shamed; you are here to learn. I now specialize in mathematics, chemistry, and science, teaching in English, Russian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani. My lessons are 1 hour long and built around patience, clarity, and encouragement. I’ve also taught neurodivergent learners, and I know how important it is to adapt methods so every student feels safe and supported. Outside of science, I have a deep love for literature, which inspires the way I teach. I believe learning should feel like discovery, not memorization. At the heart of everything I do is my passion for science: I see it as a way to understand the beauty and order in the world, and I love sharing that with my students. Whether online or in-person (Gombak area), my goal is to help you grow confident, curious, and capable because I’ve been where you are, and I know you can overcome it.

I am a Chemical Engineering student at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a strong foundation in science gained from my studies in Italy. I have completed advanced mathematics certificates and online chemistry courses, and I bring over four years of tutoring experience to my students.
My lessons are tailored for secondary school, pre-university, and university preparation students who want to strengthen their skills in Mathematics, Chemistry, and English. I also guide students preparing for IMAT and international university entrance exams.
Being multilingual in English, Russian, Turkish, and Azerbaijani, I can explain concepts in different languages, making lessons clearer and more comfortable for students from diverse backgrounds.
Teaching approach:
I focus on building strong fundamentals and problem-solving skills.
Each lesson is 1 hour, combining theory, practice exercises, and exam-style questions.
I adapt my methods to suit each student’s pace, whether beginner or advanced.
Both offline (Gombak area) and online classes are available.
My goal is to make science and math understandable, enjoyable, and practical, so students gain confidence and real results.
