About Chani

My name is Chani (pronounced like Shani), and I am a multilingual vocal coach and musical theatre performer with extensive training and experience. I studied for ten years with a professional opera singer and graduated from both The Musical Theatre Academy in Israel and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York. These programs, along with years of personal research, shaped my understanding of vocal technique, performance, and the emotional connection behind singing. I have worked with many teachers from diverse backgrounds and methods, which allows me to adapt my teaching to each student's needs rather than following a single strict approach. I teach in English, French, and Hebrew, and I focus on helping students develop healthy technique, artistic expression, and vocal confidence. My goal is always the same: to help each student discover their own voice—one that is free, supported, expressive, and connected to who they are. I bring patience, professionalism, and deep care for the student’s vocal journey. About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
My name is Chani, and my approach to vocal training is shaped by years of studying with many different teachers from various backgrounds, methods, and perspectives. Because of this wide range of influences, my teaching is not conventional. I believe that what works for you is what’s right, and every singer needs something different in order to grow.
I trained for ten years with an opera singer and graduated from both The Musical Theatre Academy in Israel and The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA) in New York. I teach in English, French, and Hebrew, and I have spent years researching vocal technique and teaching students of different levels.

I believe the voice is the resonation of the body, the mind, and the soul. I work to understand the person standing in front of me—who they are, what they carry, and where they want to go—so I can help connect these three elements and let the voice resonate with full freedom.

Teaching Method and Techniques
My method changes according to the student.
If a student needs classical vocal exercises, we work that way.
If they need tools from the pop or mainstream world, we use those instead.
The most important thing is that the student feels comfortable, supported, and has room to develop without feeling restricted.
I also teach musical theatre technique, helping students connect their vocal work with interpretation.

A Typical Lesson
The very first lesson is unique—it is a session where I become the student. I use this time to learn who the person in front of me is, what their intentions are, what they bring with them, and what their goals are. After observing and listening, I share my honest professional opinion and describe the process I believe they need in order to reach those goals.

A regular lesson begins with body and facial stretches, breathing work, and activation exercises that “wake up” the vocal system. Then we move into light vocal warm-ups that guide me to the exact point where I can advance the student.
If the student has a song they want to work on, we dedicate part of the session to it. When needed, I also assign repertoire to support a specific technical or artistic goal.

My lessons are for anyone over 18 who wants to learn to sing, whether they are beginners, intermediate singers, or developing performers looking to improve their technique, build confidence, and connect emotionally with their voice.
