About James
I am a jazz guitarist, I have taught a couple of students before who decided not to do grades (however I can coach you through them) but continue to play for pleasure. I have an undergraduate degree in Drama and Theatre Practice, and a Master's Degree in Gig Theatre. I have played music since the age of 8, being grade 8 standard in piano and guitar. I am currently working towards my own diploma in Jazz Guitar.

I give lessons to anyone beginner up to grade 8, with my specialism in jazz if that's appropriate for you. I aim to teach a foundation of guitar technique embedded in music theory, so should you choose to take any theory grades or a music degree, you will have a practical, working knowledge of music theory.
