About Emma

I am an experienced musician with an extensive performing experience in competitions, galas, and concerts, and I have achieved my RCM ARCT in Music Theory and Composition. I have also completed an International Baccalaureate (IB) course in Higher Level Music, which includes knowledge of various cultural compositional methods and international music theory skills.

My experience includes tutoring students of many ages, most often 6-16 y/o, for various RCM exams. I have been composing and producing music for 5 years, and every new project is certainly an opportunity to learn and grow.

I personally am still in the pursuit of my own higher education, but I love to share my passion for musical composition, especially through a deeper understanding of what sound can become!

About the lesson

The most important component of a lesson is to not only teach material, but also passion and enjoyment, as it is easier to retain information with positive, consistent, reinforcement. I personally make an effort to be flexible when cultivating methods that make information practical and relatable, so students remain engaged.

Perfect! Emma is very knowledgeable about music theory. Her lessons are informative and she is patient to explain concepts that you need more time with.
