About Emma
I am currently studying at the Manhattan School of Music earning my Master's in Percussion Performance. I've had the honor of learning from the Principal of the New York Philharmonic, the Timpanist of the Met, Percussionists from the President's Marine Band, groundbreaking contemporary percussionists, world-renowned steel pan players, and so many more. It's my passion to share the wealth of knowledge that I have gained from these individuals.
As a performer, I've played for many years as a soloist and as a part of orchestras, new music ensembles, wind ensembles, brass bands, steel pan ensembles, marching bands, drumlines, musical theater and opera pits, percussion ensembles, jazz bands, and more.
I have many years experience teaching percussion, piano, music theory, and aural skills. I have also worked as a music librarian, an intern with non-profits, and have maintained honors status throughout my high school, undergraduate, and graduate education.

Whether it's specific songs you want to play, technical skills that need honing, audition help, improving your sight-reading, or even just learning more about music in general, I can help with anything you need. I have taught all ages, from beginners to collegiate students to adults-- all are welcome! I love creative problem solving and finding ways to make music fun for you and everyone who listens to you play :)
