About Jacqueline
Learning a new language happens best when you treat it like a musical composition. You will notice that I break down linguistic patterns into small, manageable parts that mirror how I teach songwriting. Because I have 7 years of teaching experience, I know exactly which roadblocks prevent progress in writing and pronunciation. We spend time on mock DELF papers that provide you with detailed feedback on your specific performance gaps.
This ensures you understand where your errors originate before you move on to more difficult grammar. My lessons emphasize the flow of natural speech rather than just rote memorization of rules. I want to ensure you feel comfortable expressing your own thoughts in French. This practical framework will guide our time together as we refine your skills.

Growing up with French as my native language shaped how I view the rhythm of speech. I completed a BA Music from McGill University which taught me the discipline of structure and the importance of clear communication.
Teaching feels like a natural extension of my 9 years gigging in the Montreal folk scene. I work primarily with teens and adults who want to navigate complex grammar. It is a joy to demystify verb conjugation for those struggling with new syntax. My style is honest and energetic because language learning should feel alive.
I incorporate these methods when helping learners prep for high stakes tests like the DELF. Many people find the nasal sounds and liaison tricky at first. I keep things approachable by focusing on conversational fluency as the primary goal.
