About Alexander

My name is Alexander Savva and i’m excited and passionate about being part of your journey to help you learn one of the most amazing and dynamic instruments! I started my journey to learn drums at the age of 5, so having over 15 years of experience I know I can make a positive impact to your learning and open new paths to your playing as well as your musicality and career aspirations. Or if you just want to play for fun. As well as performing live and undertaking studio work, I am also pursuing a further degree at the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. I have attained great knowledge which I implement into my lessons to give my students the maximum benefit from each lesson. I travel to you and teach you at your premises on your own equipment. However, if you don’t have equipment I come fully equipped with a compact easy to set up Roland TD-1K Electric Drum Kit minimising any disruption.

About the lesson

I personalise lessons to suit your exact needs so that you reach your goals efficiently whilst always having fun. I have a Roland TD-1K Electronic Drum Kit that I am able to quickly and easily set up at your premises to minimise disruption and help maximise your progress. I teach all age groups and capabilities. I will assess your ability and structure your lessons to get you on your journey to becoming a great drummer and most importantly, a great musician. I document each lesson and create a structured schedule to help you stay focused in preparation for your next lesson. I have many legendary drum books which I implement into my lessons helping you to learn from the very best.

Your lesson starts when I begin teaching. Set up time is not part of your lesson time therefore, you get maximum learning time.

My rates are: £20 (30 mins), £25 (45 mins), £30 (60 mins).

Naz’s son Ali is a very great listener which plays a big factor in a students learning experience. Together we went from grade 5 all the way to grade 8, whilst receiving Distinctions in all exam results! His consistency and focus is what allowed me to work along side him and help improve and refine his drumming ability!

After 2 yrs, Alex's clear and concise instruction, tailored to the age and experience of the student, along with a very comfortable environment means our now 12 yr old son has come on leaps and bounds. Alex has seen him though Grades 2 to 4 and working on Grade 5 at the moment.
