About Jaycee
Music has been my focus since I was 6 years old. I have been playing the flute since then, alongside being lead roles in drama club, and partaking in both concert choir and show choir. I’m high school I was drum major for the Edwardsville High school marching band for three years and maintained no lower than 2nd chair in symphonic band.
In college I was required to learn all instrument families: percussion, brass, woodwind and orchestral, while also taking two musical theory courses, a music history and analysis course, and conducting.
I am currently a K-5 music teacher at two schools in Springfield, IL. I also attend University of Illinois Springfield where I am almost done with my masters degree and can pursue teaching at the university level.

With being an elementary school music teacher that leaves a good amount of my day free. On most days after 3:45 pm I am available to work with students of all ages and playing levels. I can teach anything from general music reading and notation, to helping perfect repertoire and composition.
