About Margaret
I am in my senior year at Grand Valley State University. I have played piano for 17 years with three different teachers. I participated in the studio of Dr. Sookyung Cho for my first two years of college, and continued independent piano studies in my junior year. I also took six credits of piano specific pedagogy classes with Dr. Helen Marlais which has prepared me with best practices especially for beginning students, as well as a wide variety of repertoire to engage beginning and intermediate students.

Music is similar to languages in that we learn it best by experiencing it! This means that the playing and creating is important, but so is listening, understanding, and experimenting. Students can expect to play piano, learn healthy technique, listen and respond to music, and engage with theory during their lessons.
