I am a 2nd year music education major. I had 6 semesters of music theory in high school, and 4 semesters of music theory, ear training and sight singing in college. I've been reading music for at least 12 years.

I teach beginners (learning to read music) and up to around level 2 of music theory (secondary dominant chords, augmented chords, form, etc.). We can go as slow as you need to, or if you understand concepts we can move right along. Subjects I can teach are note names, all clefs (treble, bass, alto, tenor), note values, rhythm and meter, rests, accidentals, cadences, intervals, key signatures, chords (triads, seventh chords, augmented chords), scales, and ear training (intervals, scales, chords).
