About Kiera
I am a Music graduate who has been working professionally as a performer and academic for four years and giving lessons for four years. I have performance experience in opera and classical, musical theatre, and jazz. I am also a published musicologist and music history specialist.
Students with me have gained a new confidence in their abilities, a greater understanding of their instrument, and the chance to appear in unique performance opportunities.

I have taught all levels from beginner primary school students all the way to undergrad music students. I also teach adult beginners and anyone looking for a new approach.
Safe practice is paramout to my teaching, so all classes begin at least 10-15 minutes of warm-up, no matter the style. Then, each piece is discussed to see what learning outcome the student wants. All classes contain some music theory taught in a practical setting. The speed at which a piece is studied can be catered to the student, but an element of challenge will always be present to ensure progress is continually made. I don't just focus on the voice, but the performance as a whole, so technqiues to improve stage presence and delivery are also incorporated to ensure every student is prepared to perform in their chosen capacity.
My lessons are suited to support the examinations for ABRSM and Trinity.
For academic classes, I offer full proof-reading and tuition sessions for essays, as well as offering revision classes for the GCSE and A-Level examinations for all boards.
I have always had a passion for music in all its forms, so a student will be in a welcoming, encouraging, and dedicated environment with me.
