About Cameron
I am a University of Manchester graduate who has taught professionally for many years. I am looking to find as many students in Manchester for teaching in my three instruments (piano, violin and guitar/electric guitar) as possible. I have experience in working with orchestras, students in all three instruments and I have also taught music theory up to a university standard for several years and would be interested in giving lessons, especially for Grade 5 Theory candidates (this is a necessary prerequisite for doing Grade 6 and above in an instrument). As a professional musician, I have performed as a concert pianist and violinist with orchestras and play electric guitar in and manage a Manchester-based band. My teaching method is to get to know my students as well as I can and create a positive and enjoyable environment whilst striving to push them to their full potential. I respond to students' current standards, understanding the importance of matching and developing them within whilst also evolving their knowledge of music through challenging students who show great room for growth. I also ensure that I am meeting a student's personal interests. For example, in guitar, I greatly prefer when students choose there own selection of songs to learn, be them pop, rock or dance classics, and in piano or violin if they are aware of classical repertoire or have sheet music prepared whatever the genre. Whilst I strive to encourage students explore other areas of music, I believe to unlock their full potential it is integral to have them play music they are very passionate about! But every student is unique and requires a teacher they can respect and be friends with as well as learn from.

Details
If it is more than a half-hour journey I will have to charge £35 for an hour. However this cost can be negotiated if the lessons will be planned to be an hour or more (there are more than one students needing lessons).
