"Do you ever find yourself staring at a blank screen wondering why your project feels incomplete? I have spent 10 years producing and teaching music production while applying the rigor of my BMus from the New Zealand School of Music to every track.
Finishing beats matters more than perfecting every tiny detail in isolation. Everything I teach remains hands-on because making music is a physical process of trial and error. I listen back to work constantly to identify what needs improvement immediately.

"I admit that I can be impatient with endless tweaking when a song is already good enough to release. We work exclusively in your own DAW to ensure you know every corner of your software.
My BMus training informs how I explain mixing fundamentals and gain staging to beginners. We focus on tempo and groove to make sure the rhythm section hits hard. Layering and texture are essential for building a professional soundscape that stands out.
We use reference mixing to keep our ears honest and our output competitive. Students appreciate how we diagnose signal flow issues before they interrupt the creative process. It is satisfying to see a student finalize a project in real time. Creating music should be a productive experience that leaves you with something tangible to show."
