About Logan

Hi, I'm Elcee (Logan) – winner of the JBL Martin Garrix Music Academy and a professional music producer with 6 years of industry experience.

I've recorded at Abbey Road Studios with slowthai, worked with JBL, Adidas, and Boiler Room (100K+ views) + more, and released multiple projects across Spotify, Apple Music, and more.

What I Teach:
I specialise in Ableton Live production for Rap, Dance, and Electronic music. Whether you're a complete beginner or want to take your tracks from bedroom to professional quality, I'll help you:

• Master Ableton Live inside and out
• Produce tracks that actually sound finished
• Mix and engineer to industry standards
• Develop your unique sound and style
• Stop getting stuck and start releasing music

My Approach:
We work on YOUR music, YOUR projects. Hands on, practical sessions where you leave with real progress. I've been where you are (unfinished tracks, imposter syndrome, strong desire) and I'll show you the shortcuts I wish someone taught me.

Lessons online or in-person at my Manchester studio. Bring your questions, your half-finished projects, your creative blocks – we'll tackle them together.

Book a free 30-minute session and let's make something great.

  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favourite instrument?

Music has always been my #1 passion, but I didn't take it seriously until I started rapping at 18. Then I went to university to study Electronic Music Production and discovered Ableton, I realised this was my instrument! It culminated all my experience in music into one programme I had full control over.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

XXXTENTACION is my all time most listened to artist and a huge reason why I pursued music as a career. The versatility in his music means he has songs for the whole spectrum of human emotions, which deeply influences my own work.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

The most challenging aspect of learning music production is often patience. At first, there will be a gap between what you can create and the ideas you have in your head. The gap closes simply by learning the tools, this takes time. The process can be sped up by the amount of time you put in, but you can't skip steps. Along the way, a mental battle arises, and learning to ignore your intrusive or unhelpful thoughts is crucial. Over time, you will create works that truly inspire you, nurturing the positive feedback loop that leads to an never ending cycle of improvement.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

Learning a DAW like Ableton Live differs from traditional instruments because there are no limitations. It can be both incredibly freeing and paralysing. But really, it is just another tool. Once you learn how to use the tools, it unlocks areas of your creativity you didn't even know existed.
  • What are your keys to success?

Anyone can learn how to make music, but pursuing it as a career is an entirely different beast. The key is alignment. Over the years I have developed ways to overcome self doubt, attract opportunites and live life as your true self.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favourite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

50 Cent because of his incredible business acumen, Rick Rubin because of his creative philosophy and Mount Kimbie to ask how on Earth they made a song as good as Carbonated.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

Proving yourself right is way more powerful than proving someone else wrong. Of all the achievements and accolades I have accrued, nothing has been more powerful than keeping a promise to myself, showing myself what I am capable of and knowing that I expressed myself in the most authentic way possible. This always leads to the greatest success.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

I take a holistic approach to creative expression. Technical information can be found anywhere online, but first hand insight from an artist currently living the career they are guiding others towards is priceless. I take a highly individualised approach to learning, uncovering what works best for you. I have extensive experience working with SEN students and people of all ages, both in person and online.
