About Jack
Jack started music when he was 8 years old, learning how to read music through the National boys choir and sang on BBC television singing lush choral music! Through this Jack built an experience with harmony and music theory at a very young age, later growing a love and passion for music as a result of his experiences with the British choirs. Starting violin in S1 Jack quickly progressed, later in his musical life Jack discovered a Classical Guitar, which he then took to like a duck to water, Jack was playing at an impressive Grade 6 standard within 2 years. At the JRCS Jack studied with Peter Stewart, who himself has mentored many competition winners and runs the Guitar Department at the Uni of Aberdeen, after completing this year successfully, Jack is now studying with Ian Watt, a current RCS lecturer, and International Concert guitarist! Through these experiences Jack has built up an impressive list of venues at which he’s performed. Jack has performed at the Albert Hall, Glasgow Concert Hall, Glasgow City halls, Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and Winchester Cathedral. Jack is very experienced with the ABRSM and the SQA system and can teach according to the students needs, Jack prefers to teach using ABRSM Grading system, Jack offers both Theory tuition up to grade 5 and Classical Guitar from beginner to advanced.

Jack is a great teacher who is really good with children and adults alike. His approach is laidback and friendly and he always goes the extra mile to make sure that his students have an enjoyable lesson. He seems well versed in the SQA and ABRSM exam systems and in my opinion would be a great tutor for someone looking to go down these avenues or just for fun! Overall, Jack has been great to work with and I could not recommend him more!
