About Christi
Originally from the United States, Christi Park is a rising Baroque violinist currently based in London and Paris. She began her musical studies in Chicago, IL. Graduating in 2018 from Indiana University, she holds a Bachelor of Music and a Performer Diploma in Solo Performance, under the tutelage of renowned pedagogues, Ik-Hwan Bae and Mauricio Fuks. At an early age, she fell in love with early music repertoire that led her to study Baroque violin with early music specialist, Stanley Ritchie. Subsequently, she is currently completing her Masters of Music at the Royal Academy of Music, studying Historical Performance on music ranged from 17th Century to 19th Century with Pavlo Beznosiuk and Simon Standage.
Most recently selected for Arts Flo Juniors, a training programme for young artists led by Les Arts Florissants directed by William Christie, she has had the privilege and unique opportunity to work in a professional environment and perform with the members of the ensemble on their most recent tour, Symphonies Parisiennes. She has also worked with a wide range of renowned professional musicians in the US and abroad, including John Butt, Trevor Pinnock, Phillipe Herreweghe, as well as performing alongside Elizabeth Wallfisch, Jaap ter Linden, Rachel Podger, Bojan Čičić, and Elizabeth Blumenstock. She has performed solo, chamber, and ensemble performances in venues such as St. Martin-in-the-Fields, Chicago Cultural Center, Jay Pritzker Pavilion, Chicago Symphony Center, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, St. Margaret’s Church, Oxford, Cité de la Musique in Paris, and the Rudolfinuim in Prague, as well participate in festivals such as Grant Park Festival, Brecon Baroque Festival, and Oxford’s Transforming 19th Century Historical Performance Conference.
Christi continues to perform in both the United States and the United Kingdom regularly. She frequently performs in Bach Cantata performances held at the Royal Academy of Music and regularly performs with her running ensemble, Ensemble Falconieri.
She plays on a Baroque violin crafted by Jason Viseltear in 2017 and a violin crafted in mid-17th century by an anonymous French instrument maker.

My teaching methods are to begin with understanding the students’ needs and helping them to develop and mature in career and in life. I would like to tailor my coursework to each individual student. In group class, I would make an effort to include all students in each projects and assignment.
