About Spencer
I have been studying piano since I was 7. I gave two years of piano lessons to beginners while in high school in Oregon, before moving on to study music at the University of Utah. I have been top of my class in music theory and musicianship, and have enjoyed helping classmates in their projects. I enjoy performing piano in concerts and events. I also study biology and chemistry in preparation for medical school.

I love the way Western music theory ties into itself in such beautiful organization. I am most skilled at understanding theory based on tertian harmony, but am happy to help the best I can with quartal and quintal harmony. I will be most helpful to those studying theory and musicianship up to the 4000 level of college, including high school students. I am also happy to help pianists up to early advanced levels with tips on music reading and techniques.
