About Hein
I have been teaching music for the past 15 years and have worked at various schools. I was appointed as the head of the music department at a International School for over 7 years. I have conducted their choirs, directed their school productions and taught (Grades 1 to 7) in various instruments, such as Piano, Marimba, Guitar. The school was very happy with my work and asked me to teach their high school students as well from grade 8 to post matric in the Cambridge Music Curriculum.
I have been operating my own dance studio (International Ballroom, International Latin American and International Line Dance) for over 10 years. The music school runs as a division of the Dance studio and most of my students has achieved top results at Trinity Music College of London, and Talent Africa/USA.
My vocal student achieved a 2nd and 4th place at the prestigious Talent USA competition and all of my music students has achieved top results (distinction) in Music Theory.

I teach students mainly private (1 on 1) and work with children as young as 10 years of age. Lessons are taught at the students pace and all lessons includes Theory and Practical sessions. I focus on explaining all aspects of theory and how this can be carried over to the instrument. Being particular to details and the way that questions are answered is my forte, specifically when it comes to exams. I believe that students input (practice and preparation) to their goals is just as important as to the teachers input and preparation.
I work with special needs children, teens, and adults that has a natural talent for music as well.
