About Paula
I have a degree in Music, post-grad in Music Education and Diplomas in piano performance and 20 years experience in secondary school Music teaching. I love to compose music in my spare time and some of my compositions have been used in theatre and TV. Over the years I've enjoyed helping countless students with their GCSE and A-level compositions, piano performance pieces and grade exams in piano.

Each student is an individual with their own strengths and needs. I have always found kindness alongside structure gets the best results. A piano lesson begins with discussing any issues/successes since last lesson followed by scales and exercises, then pieces with any theory points explained, with ear work and/or improvisation for fun at the end. I often teach students a song of their own choice for a break/treat outside of exam pieces and I often submit video recordings of current pieces to an online group for students.
