About Gabe

I’m Gabe Toth, founder of Gabe Toth Music Academy, with over 30 years of teaching and professional music experience. My music theory lessons are designed to make music finally make sense. I teach chords, scales, harmony, rhythm, reading, ear training, songwriting, and song structure in a practical way that connects directly to real music. I work with singers, pianists, guitarists, songwriters, beginners, adult learners, and students who want to understand what they are playing or singing instead of just memorizing notes. My approach is clear, patient, and practical. I do not teach theory as a pile of confusing rules. I teach it as the language behind songs, chords, melodies, progressions, improvisation, and performance. When students understand theory, they become more confident, more creative, and more independent musicians. Online lessons are available worldwide. Free 20-minute evaluations are available for serious students.

Every music theory lesson is built around the student’s level, goals, instrument, and musical interests. For beginners, I focus on notes, rhythm, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, reading, ear training, and understanding how songs are built. For singers, pianists, guitarists, songwriters, and intermediate students, we can work on chord progressions, harmony, melody, song form, transposition, etc and improvisation, arranging, and applying theory directly to real music. I do not teach theory as a pile of confusing rules. Everything we study should help the student understand songs better, hear music more clearly, and become more confident as a musician. The goal is to make music theory practical, useful, and understandable so the student can sing, play, write, learn, and perform with more independence.
