About Sam

I am a guitarist, songwriter, composer, and teacher specializing in Jazz, Alternative Rock, Indie, Pop, and Hip-Hop, and am well-versed in many other genres such as Folk, Americana, and Blues. I perform with Nathan Tao, Stuart Blackie Quartet, Kristen Lynn & the Foxgloves, Lines N' Spaces, Vintage Noise, and Last Decade. I have also played in the pit orchestra for countless musicals for theaters such as South Bay Musical Theater, Cupcake Theater, Children's Music Theater, and Lucie Stern Theater. I have also recorded on albums, most recently El Santo Del Valle's album "Vivo Yo." Let's work together so I can help you meet your goals! :)

About the lesson

Some of my students have gone on to pursue music as a career and at university, while others have found it to be a great way to express themselves and learn a new skill outside of their career. I approach lessons with a student-first mentality. It is important to find out the student's interests and motivations in learning, as this will help guide the journey they will go through to learn to play. I also teach guitar, bass guitar, ukulele, and beginner piano.
