About Madison

I have a Bachelors in Music with an Honors Degree in research. I have tutored music theory for 6 years using many systems of analysis including the AP test, roman numeral, Fort Sets, and shenkerian. My students have ALL earned a 4 or higher on the AP test and placed out of the first 2-3 levels of college theory

About the lesson

I base my method for teaching theory on the accumulation of concepts. Just like in mathematics, rules are learned and then altered as we reach higher levels of understanding. My goal is for all of my students to have a working understanding, not just for a class or a test, but to fully appreciate music.
