About Kimberley

Hi there! My name is Kimberley, and I'm a British classical pianist, and I love teaching young people about classical music.

My first rule is that there isn't any! Each student is unique and different, and my goal is to teach in a way that's fun and interesting and keeps people engaged. I teach all ages, young and old, novice to experienced, and take great joy in meeting new people and getting to know them and helping them learn.

I come to you - so you can have the lessons in your own home, on the piano that you're used to. I'm really flexible and want this to work for you at your own pace to help you reach your own goals.

I achieved Grade 8 Distinction Piano when I was 14 years old, with one of the highest marks in my country (I'm from the UK). I went on to develop my own theatre show with live piano and have performed all over the world as a vocalist and pianist.

I have had a joint number one in the UK, as well as other singles in the charts and have done arena tours throughout the UK and Europe.

About the lesson

I'm great with beginners and intermediate players, I love building confidence and really helping to develop great technique and methods. Young children are my speciality, my lessons are a lot of fun and I incorporate games and other small boosters to help children understand the value of learning something new.

I love classical music, and love giving a great grounding in music reading and understanding of music theory.

I've also taught many adults and older children and piano is a fantastic instrument to learn when you're older - there is no age limit! Learning is for everyone.

I also teach Grades 1 - 8 with the Royal College of Music (ABRSM) exams. This is the British exam board, and truly the gold standard of piano exams, you even get a certificate with a royal stamp of approval. Kids love this! It's a great way to incentivise and see progress.
