About Maria
As a performer who is currently working in the musical theatre community and as an educator, I have a connection to the industry and am constantly improving upon my craft. I am in my third year of my Musical Theatre Performance BFA degree, and I have several years of experience teaching choir, glee club, dance, and performing arts. I have experience working with children, teens, and beginner adults. My students learn more than just technique, they grow in confidence, stage presence, and artistic identity.

As a vocal teacher and acting coach, my goal is to help students build confidence and technique. I create a supportive environment where students feel safe to take creative risks, learn about their voices, and grow as performers.
My approach is to work on technical skills with an emphasis on exploration and creativity. We will focus on healthy vocal production, breath support, pitch accuracy, and resonance quality with a performance aspect. In acting, we will learn hands-on about character development, script analysis, improvisation, and different acting techniques and styles.
Each lesson is tailored to meet the goals and needs of the individual student. We will focus on what matters most to you!
A typical vocal lesson includes:
Warm-ups and vocal technique exercises
Repertoire work (musical theatre, pop, folk, etc.)
Interpretation, phrasing, and performance coaching
Goal-setting and personalized feedback
An acting session may include:
Physical and vocal warm-ups
Text or monologue work
Improvisation and character exercises
Acting techniques
Lessons can be 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on your needs.
