About Charlie
My name is Charlie and I have fifteen years of experience in music, particularly on stage and in the studio as a guitarist and bassist and as a composer in various groups.
I started by taking lessons for a few years then I continued my journey as an autodidact before giving lessons myself. Today I am a multi-instrumentalist and I compose my own music even if the guitar and the bass are my favorite instruments.
I'm so passionate about music that I could talk about it all day: it is one of my favorite things to do. Right after the playing of course ! It will always be a pleasure to teach you everything I know about music.

I offer private lessons in guitar (electric and folk) and bass for all levels from 10 years old and in all styles of music (rock, blues, jazz, variety, funk, etc.).
My approach adapts very much to the student by discussing their musical preferences and their objectives. Depending on these, we can approach the different technical aspects of the instrument (rhythm playing, solos, playing with a pick or fingers, timing, slap, etc.) and apply them by working on the student's favorite pieces. We can also focus on more theoretical aspects if the desire to go further is felt (knowledge of the neck, chords, scales, improvisation...). We will finally be able to play together and record the student's progress in my home studio.
The lessons will take place at my home in Saint-Manvieu-Norrey or I can travel to the surrounding towns and to Caen (subject to an adjustment of the price according to the distance).
My base rate is 25 euros per hour for classes in Saint-Manvieu-Norrey or via videoconference.
