About William
Thank you for checking out my lessons! My name is Bill, and my experience is rooted in the stage. I began my journey in community theatre at the age of 6 years old. This sparked my interest in music, as I starred in many musicals developing my voice. When I was 10 years old my first instrument was drums. Then I started playing cello in middle school and from there I taught myself guitar, bass guitar, harmonica, ukulele, and piano. Over the years I have played in 7 different local Atlanta bands, and collaborated with dozens of southeastern musicians. I also compose score for film and work as a field audio technician.

About the lesson

Beginner lessons will begin with an overall understanding of the guitar, it's parts and how to properly tune in standard E tuning. We will go over the roots of playing: strumming patterns/rhythm, scales, chords and power chords. Once you have learned 3 scales and how to play one of your favorite song, we will move you into intermediate.
Intermediate lessons will cover how to get the most out of your playing: Scale variations, alternative tunings, adding effects(destortion, delay, etc), adding vocals (optional), theory, creating/writing your own song, and finally how to look cool on stage ;).
Training in bass guitar, ukulele, Korg synth-stations, and vocal can also be provided.
