About Karandeep
Having studied with renowned guitarists such as David Occhipinti and Nathan Hiltz, Karandeep has strong grounds in the jazz approach and is flexible in handling popular and rock music. He has had opportunities to teach at Muzart Music and Art School in Etobicoke, and conduct group lessons through Little Jammerz. In addition, he has studied Music Pedagogy to further explore the intricacies of Music Education taught by renowned bassist, and educator, Justin Gray, and saxophone and theory guru, Shirantha Beddage. Karandeep has performed extensively in a variety of settings and styles of music from jazz duos, trio, 7 piece groups playing original compositions and standard repertoire, to rock, and folks bands. In addition to performing music, he has also been able to hone in on his recording, and production skills through the teachings of renowned sound engineers Peter Cook, Mathew Manifold, and Alan Han at Humber College and his many home projects recorded and produced in his home studio. Karandeep has a strong belief in the pursuit of lifelong learning and wishes to share his multitude of continuously growing experiences with his students in the hope to enrich their lives in more ways than they can imagine.

Having studied at Humber College I will be able to craft lessons specifically for you. Determining your goals and needs will always be the priority, where some lessons could focus on practice regimens, analysis, theory, techniques, repertoire, vocals, solos, etc. Working together we can get you where you want to go. I would be happy to assist students ages 10+, from learning their favourite songs, to audition prep, to jazz theory.
