About Altagrace
Hi! My name is Altagrace, and I’m currently a college student majoring in Respiratory Therapy. I’ve always loved working with kids and helping them discover their strengths, especially in math. Throughout school, math was one of my favorite subjects because I enjoyed solving problems and finding simple ways to understand challenging concepts. As a tutor, I bring patience, positivity, and creativity to every session. I understand that every student learns differently, so I take time to explain lessons step by step and make sure they truly “get it.” My goal is to help students feel confident, capable, and proud of their progress. When I’m not studying or tutoring, I enjoy learning about healthcare, spending time with family, and finding new ways to stay organized and motivated. I believe learning should be encouraging, not stressful, and I’m here to make math a little easier and a lot more fun!

I tutor elementary and middle school students in areas such as: Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) Fractions, decimals, and percentages Pre-algebra and introductory algebra Word problems and test preparation My teaching style is patient, encouraging, and personalized. I take the time to explain concepts in simple terms and use examples that make sense to each student’s learning style. My goal is to make math less stressful and more enjoyable!
