About Emma
Hi! My name is Emma Carr and I would love to teach you the basics of piano! I've taken lessons myself for 10 years and have just recently started college and tutoring. I love piano however I understand sometimes it can be difficult to try something new. As your child's tutor, I would not only teach them the basics but also incorporate skills they can use in day to day playing (For example, maybe teaching them how to play their favorite song or some holiday music to blow away family members at your next gathering!). I love working with kids and am currently a nanny going to school to be a pediatric nurse. I have a passion for building kids confidence, skills, and overall happiness by teaching them a skill they can be proud of and use for the rest of their lives. I try to make lessons as fun and valuable as possible and would love to be your child's tutor! Let's talk!

-Diverse background in types of piano music and different levels
- Most often, I work with Bastien Piano Basics books as I have found them to be comprehensible, affordable, and available at a variety of levels.
- Something that sets me apart from other tutors is the fact that I am young and adaptable. I feel that because I currently work with children (I'm a nanny), I understand the challenges that can come with teaching children. Due to this, I am willing to adapt lesson plans based on child's needs as well as find new approaches to teaching if material isn't clicking.
- Although I work best teaching children, I am willing to teach adults too!
