About Emma

My name is Emma, and I am a Baylor University graduate! While at Baylor, I studied Political Science, Spanish, and Economics in the Honors College. I graduated Summa Cum Laude. My success in school was determined by my ability to know HOW to study- a skill which many very bright students don't develop early enough. I want to help YOU develop that skill!

How do you stay organized, prioritize well, and get better grades? I'd love to help you answer these questions as you improve your Spanish skills.

About the lesson

I am a firm believer that clarity and consistency are the keys to learning well. My lessons take the following format:

1. Explanation: I start with a clear explanation of the day's goals and concept(s), giving students a brief walk through of everything we’re doing.

2. Practice: I prepare a multitude of practice activities (style depending on the student). Practice allows a student to see a concept in action and ask relevant questions.

3. Self-quiz: I then provide the student with an opportunity to "test" their new skill.

4. Review: We’ll go over the student’s work together and fill in any learning gaps.
