About Ishaan

Hi! My name is Ishaan, and I’m a motivated 7th grade student who enjoys math and helping others understand it better. I’m responsible, patient, and take tutoring seriously. I focus on explaining concepts clearly and step by step so students feel confident, not rushed or confused.

Outside of academics, I compete in badminton and am ranked in the top 80 nationally in the U-15 category, which has taught me discipline, focus, and consistency. I also enjoy cooking, which has helped me develop patience, attention to detail, and the ability to follow structured steps—skills that directly support my approach to tutoring.

I enjoy working with elementary and middle school students and aim to create a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and improving steadily.

About the lesson

My Teaching Approach

I take a clear, patient, and step-by-step approach to tutoring. I focus on helping students truly understand concepts instead of memorizing steps. I explain ideas in simple language, use examples, and adjust my pace based on how the student learns.

I encourage questions and make sure students feel comfortable asking for help. If something doesn’t make sense, I explain it in a different way until it does.

Typical Lesson Plan

A typical lesson starts with reviewing homework or topics the student finds challenging. Then we work through new concepts with examples, followed by guided practice. We end by reviewing key ideas and identifying what to practice next.

What Sets Me Apart

As a student, I understand the challenges learners face because I experience them too. I explain math in a student-friendly way and focus on patience, clarity, and consistency.

Who My Lessons Are For

My lessons are for elementary and middle school students who need help with math, including basic arithmetic, fractions, decimals, pre-algebra, and introductory Algebra 1. Lessons are online only and scheduled with parent approval.
