About Jill
I have been teaching English for two and a bit years, first in China and now back in Sydney. I have a Bachelor of Social Science and a Graduate Diploma in TESOL from Wollongong University. I teach international students from all over the world, at a college in Burwood, and do some relief work for a couple of colleges in the CBD of Sydney. I love teaching my students, and get great satisfaction to see them progressing with their speaking, and doing well in exams and moving up to the next level.

I teach using a communicative method, trying to incorporate discussion and speaking into most activities. Although generally I use the textbook as a back-up, I include lots of fun websites to practice listening, grammar and pronunciation. We also do quizzes and watch educational grammar and listening videos online. We regularly have a debate, where students get to write, speak and argue a topic, with another team.

I would prefer to give face-to-face lessons at the local library, rather than webcam, but this option wasn't offered.
