About Katarina
I just successfully completed my first year in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Guelph. I have recieved honours and 90+ averages all throughout high school taking multiple science and math classes. The classes I took included biology, chemistry, physics, functions, advanced functions, calculus etc. I am a hardworking, driven student and worked hard to understand content!

I help students by assessing their strengths and weaknesses, by helping them goal set, by aiding them with customized learning styles to aid in their learning, such as discussions, lectures, and hands-on activities. I also like to keep students engaged by implementing active participation as well as asking open-ended questions. I like to assure that students build their skills and allow for critical thinking, problem-solving as well as fundamental skills such as time manangement. I also like to provide feedback to help students realize areas of improvement, while celebrating achievements. I also remain flexible, and patient pacing sessions as they need. I foster a supportive learning environment where students are comfortable to ask questions, to take risks and understand that mistakes are a part of the learning process! A typical lesson plan would review course material, but focus on weaknesses. I am also a student and understand how other students learn, and have recently learned and done well in different areas of science and math. These lessons are mainly for students in elementary or high school. I also tutor my brother who is four years younger then I am, and have helped him through elementary and some of high school!
