About Leane
I am a biology pre-med student at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. I have been working as a Supplemental Instruction Leader for biology for 2 years, supporting students with the material and providing tutoring sessions 3 times a week to review the material. My teaching method is based on patience and understanding. I believe students learn best in a supportive environment where they feel safe and comfortable making mistakes.
A typical lesson plan would be checking in with the student and identifying what they struggle with, assessing in-class material, providing step-by-step explanations, practicing questions, reviewing mistakes, and preparing for exams.
My goal is to adapt to each student's learning style and see them improve and succeed!
I am happy to tutor high school and college students!
