About Vannessa
I am Vanessa Carrillo, a performing guitarist with coffeehouse and church stage experience. My lessons are relaxed, structured, and built around your favorite songs and skill level. You will receive a short video of each new chord shape. I am patient, upbeat, and genuinely excited when you play through your first full song. Your musical confidence drives my teaching.

I watch your thumb position and pick angle during a simple chord change first. A typical 55-minute session includes finger independence drills, strumming patterns with a metronome, learning a chorus of your chosen song, scale runs for soloing, and a written three-point practice list. My specialty is cleaning up buzzing strings and smooth chord transitions. My students include 3rd through 12th graders, worship team volunteers, and adults learning for personal enjoyment.
