About Linda
I have been teaching for 15 years in the class room, ranging from middle school through high school. I have been a National Board Certified teacher for the past 10 years, and I am currently working on my renewal process. My average class size is as few as 5 to a full class of 27 students. My am extremely proud of my high school students' state test scores. The last year I taught at the high school level I had one of three students who scored a 4 on their state writing assessment, a feat that had not occurred in that school for over 10 years. I also taught 2 classes of ELA State Retesters, students who had taken the state high school English tests as many as 8 times and failed each time. Of my 35 students, only 3 did not pass.

My teaching methodology is based on knowing the basics in both reading and writing, starting with the ability to write good sentences (I teach my students to diagram sentences in order to learn to write well-written sentences). My motto is that "All students can learn", some just need to practice their skills more, so I let my students redo often.
