About Benie
Bonjour! I'm Benie, a Sociology undergraduate at the University of Warwick. French is my first language, so I grew up speaking it at home before I ever studied it formally! Last year I took that even further and spent a full academic year immersed in France, studying at École Normale Supérieure Paris-Saclay, where I lived, wrote essays, and gave presentations entirely in French. So I promise you're learning from someone who genuinely lives and breathes the language, not just someone reciting textbook phrases!
I love turning what can feel like a daunting subject into something students actually enjoy. I've mentored students before as a Reading Mentor, and what I care about most is meeting you exactly where you are — whether that's nervously prepping for a GCSE oral exam or just wanting to chat more confidently on a trip to Paris.
